Shifting Problems

I have an AT Tranny and usually drive in D3 so it doesnt Hunt between 3rd and 4th all the time, Well the other day i decide to run in D4 and get it WOT okay it's in 3rd and the RPM's are going pass redline and keep going until i let my foot off the Pedal then it shifts to 4th???.. :wtf:

So with Auto it's normal for it to go passed redline in 3rd before it shifts to 4th ...Sorry but that just doesnt sound right.

No, I don't think that's normal. Mine doesn't do that, and I always drive in D4. I don't have any tips for ya though, sorry.

have you checked your tansmission fluid level?

anyways it could be an adjustment proplem with the shifter linkage... or your TV cable is maxing out... which will cause the revs to go past redline.
