canadian dollar is up around 0.72 cents to the US dollar, its getting better ;)

but its still not worth it. couple more g's and you could get a new car (base model of course)

Dealers always over charge on cars, I went to a dealer to test drive a 01 prelude, and it had like 20,--- on it and they wanted over $20,000 for it, and the front bumper had scratches too.

I'll admit it had a nice interior but it was so slow, it had a dohn vtec motor, I'm thinkin H22, and it was a sport shift, I took it out, and mashed on it, brought each gear to red line then stifted and vtec didn't kick in unitl 6,000rpm's, and it red lined at 7,200. I mean my accord could beat it... but it was fun to drive, really smooth and comfortable but not worth the sticker price...

cuz they got ugly and they started to focus more on acura, I'm sure they'll produce a new one later, but after they killed the looks of the civic's after the 00 models, I don't want to see another funny lookin car... Personally I think they need to start producing cars that look more like 00 civic si's again cause those are honestly the best lookin cars honda ever produced. I think they are focusing more on the late model Accords and Civics now rather then the sporty Preludes, cuz there sales won't match those of the RSX or the newer sports cars from other manufactures like Nissan and Subaru... the Prelude was cool for a while but they arn't that great compared to some of the cars from Acura...

You know, I asked the local Honda dealer (they know me by name now :D ) about that. They said the S2000 was the official "replacement" for the lude. I'm still trying to get my hands on either one!

stupid thing about the se-i, it was parked beside 98-00 civics which cost the same 10g's. and somebody actually bought the se-i today.

the S2000 is the replacement for the lude?
wow, talk about a big price difference!
did marketing have a big say in that decision? lol

i read somewhere they stopped making lude's cuz of the low sales?!?!?!?!?
and my buddy told me the accord coupe v6 was supposed to step up to the lude's spot.

What the hell was that person thinking? Don't tell me the guy at the dealer lot lied to him that the SE-i was a special kind of Civic. :lol

Ohhh, well.... if they bought it good for them, but they could have found the same thing somewhere else for at least half that, but its there money to do with as they like.

That's what I heard and it does make sense. People wanted a bigger car than the Lude, and The Accord coupe fit the niche perfectly. I think there will be a replacement for the 'Lude besides the S2000. The Preludes never sold that well. Nice cars, but smallish and they actually were precursors for future Accord models in many cases. Like Honda said, "Let's try pop up headlights, PGM FI, and a lower hoodline on some Preludes. If they work, we'll incorporate them into the new Accords..." Now, the Accord stands tall on its own, so the Lude is gonzo.

no dude... that is insane. even for a mint SE-i

a mint se-i here (in nfld) would go for about 3000 CAD
