For his Accord. I want to have a custom bumber for when ever I get an intercooler to show it off. Our stock bumber is a little small for an intercooler.

the newer style accord bumbers look like SHIT on our cars, PERIOD.

btw you usually have to cut bumbers to fit cars that didnt have intercoolers in their bumbers. some bumbers like the xenon kit for the 3g doesnt even replace the bumber, its just a bumber cover that goes on the bumber. :)

you basicaly have to chop the shit out of it, especially if you want a decent sized intercooler.

If you want an intercooler, just get a smaller one, cause I doubt your gonna be runnin enought boost pressure to need larger one, just get a smaller sperco one and it will fit behind the stock bumper, and besides, having an intercooler doesn't make your car top shit, so do it sleeper and have it hidden behind the slits that run across the bumper so it will kind of look like the intercooler on the new neon srt4, its there and visible but it doesn't scream here I am, a huge ass intercooler...

Well I all ready cut the grille off my bumber, and my sleeper idea would need a bigger intercooler. I'm still working the figures for the setup, but all that I can say is that it will be the fastest street legal 3g, as in around 500hp.:D

first off its probably damn near impossible to get a 3g to 500whp. and on top of that it would NEVER be street legal. :)

btw "sleeper" would not have a huge intercooler cutout in the bumber.... a sleeper would not have a visible intercooler at all. either use 2 side mounts, like from a DSM, or HIDE the FMIC. :)

but either way its not gonna happen.

Well the first question is when I can afford it will I still want to do it. And yes it can be done and still be street legal. You should read some mags. Every once and a while they while have a 4 banger making +500hp and still streetable. The last one I saw was a 96 Sunfire with 625hp/ 500tq. It can be done for around 15K. But I would rather have a 15K engine then 30K in looks.

your gonna have to run higher compression with alot of boost. and strengthen your block big time.. studs, I'd wonder what to do as for a Head Gasket. and cooling. Dont forget... your gonna hve to do custom axles, and beef up your tranny.

built trannies are not cheap. neither are built race engines.
seriously though 500hp. just build a nitrous motor... get to like 300whp with a beasty turbo machine, then run a 200 shot.. thats the cheapest way to get there...

First off to make you guys clear if I really do this I will drop in a B18C so I could get a good amount of hp before I run turbo and NOS. I have a list of all this crap I will do but I'm hoping for around 300hp with bore/stroke and others parts, then slap on a turbo and a 200 shot of NOS..... so on and so forth. But if I'm not street legal I don't think that the local cops could tell the difference. Also I don't plan on using the car as a daily driver, just for some sunny day fun. :D

Fisrt of newbie go fuck youself. Who the hell gave you the right to talk some crap like that. First off I SAID that it would not be a daily driver. SECOND it is possible with out race gas. Do you research before you start talking crap. I have been researching this for a good 3 months and all that I have seen is success after success. I will cost a lot but if I'm STUPID enough to spend the money on it then it is my problem. It is not like I will be driving down town running full boost and have my finger on the NOS switch pushing max power.
