Okay.. I've been searching, and it just may be since im in an ADD mood that I cant find shit.

How much would it be, est, for a COMPLETE B16A swap.

Im talking:
Mounts, Motor, Wiring, etc etc etc...

I am REALLY interested in putting this in my LX-i. I will be making good money this summer, and its time to treat my baby right.

Sorry if this has been posted but Im having a hardcore headache finding it, and I feel stupid because I know its gotta be here somewhere...

BTW -- What years are the first gen b16's? Its a 160hp spec motor too, right?

jesus christ... this thread has been posted sooooo many times. its in the fricken faq man!!!!

obviously you found the engine swap section of the forum, now use it! :)

btw, u have to buy all the PRI shit for like $1200, then pay for engine and tranny $1050, and then pay for someone to do the work. and figure another $1500 just because its a car project.

just figure 3000-6000 depending on how much wheeling and dealing you can pull off, and how much work you do yourself. :)

your welcome

The more and more I look at it, it'd be cheaper getting the CRX... Of course it would be...

I dunno -- I'm in a bind between 2 cars :)

He's about right.

Check my site under "new engine" and follow the PDF link called "PRI engine mounts"
That will give you an average of the parts cost.

Some of their parts such as AC bracket, power stering bracket and Throttle cable bracket are not needed, considered "Luxury" in my book.

First get the car up and running, then add shit to it.

I can get you any PRI parts for a cheaper price. Please check the market section for my prices.

These are first gens B16s.....

crx's are sweet. i plan on getting one before i get out of school. i mean shit, you can just drop in a b series engine pretty much. and they are light light light. :P

a NA civic with 157hp that was gutted down to 1900lbs ran a 12.63 on MT's :) think about that shit! 12.63 with less than 160hp. it did have 130lbs tq, that was pretty solid accross the board, which is why it was that fast... :) but a turbo'd b16 could easily lay the smack down. :) especially in a car that weighs less than 2000 lbs/.

Very impressive, but the point is to have fast car with interior.. unless you want to get pulled over on a nightly basis..

You can't get pulled over if you don't have an interior, as long as you have seat belts and the seats are mounted right and no ones sittin on a bucket then they can't do anything, what are they gonna say, I'm given you a ticket cuz you don't have door panels??? I had a friend who gutted the interior on his car when he was painted it he ran for like two weeks with no panels and he was fine... If you don't have seat belts then your gonna get in trouble...

See what you fail to understand here is.. That they can give a ticker for anything they feel is wrong with the car..Might not be ur gutted interior..

No one ever said anything to me while I was working on painting and reupholstering my doors. It looked ghetto as shit and cops love to pull you over for stupid stuff around here.

yeah i mean these were "street raced" but they were built for the track, i mean nobody wants to drive around with slicks on...

but like you agreed, it IS impresive to see such fast ET's on such a low ammount of HP.

they sell turbo kits for the b16 so I don't see why not...

You'll need engine mounts too for a B16a in a CRX. Unless you manage to get the JDM mounts and the JDM hood, which would cost near as much as the PRI mounts... but they will not be eurethane mounts....

It's only a matter of taste then.
