i got a 94-01 integra ls intake for free... would this fit on my 86 lxi? piping is 2.5...just wanna make sure before i try n put it on.. thanks!
ugh.. the pipe seems to be a bit long... has anyone tried moving their battery to a different posistion cause its blocking the way
would it effect the quality of the pipe if i cut it shorter so that it fits?

If it's a Cool Air Intake, then I think it'll be fine. Some member(s) on this board have done that.

if i were you, i'd try to fit it on, and do alterations as necessary. do what you have to to make it fit on. then you get to call it a "custom intake"

If you want to do it fight drill them about an 1/16 to an 1/8 th bigger and put in some grommits made for the hose size else just measure the hose and drill about 1/16th smaller and shove them in.

drill them any place you want as long as the hoses will reach usually up near the throttle body

What about just reading the article on how to make a CAI it has alot of the info you need. Search for CAI.

most eople move their battery to the trunk when they do a CAI. ---and there are a few different CAI's that will fit in our car with minor modifications...so if you have to cut--go for it. just make sure its the right cut.what holes do you have to drill? sensors? use whatever the recmend or what ever is the sive of the sensor.
