CV joint fun!

:rant: Has anyone replaced their CV joint before?

I have an 88 Accord, and my cv is clicking all the time.

I bought a Refurbished one but i lack the tools, and know how.
It seems pretty simple.

I'd just like a lil' insight.

Tomorrow I'm helping replace both CV shafts, front rotors and pads and then the next day we'll replace the rear drums, shoes. So thursday I could try and help you through it b/c I will have done it by then.

You replacing just the cv or the whole axle assembly. I suppose its the axle cause you said "refurnished". If so, then it's pretty simple.
0) take off axle nut (32mm)
1) take off wheels
2) take off lower ball joint (can rent tools from autozone)
3) take off fork bolt
4) swing knuckle forward so that the axle will pop off (screwdriver or crowbar to pry it off)
5) install new axle
