Just wondering what the running rate for that is.

you can go from 100 to like 1000+
100 will get you a shitty ride
a nice little setup is the LOWBOYZ from AIM.. they are not SUPER stiff, but a little over stock... the ride is comfortable, but isnt race car material...

The best is to get Ground control and a set of Koni Reds.
That would run you around 700 not including shipping. Thats the best way to go. Or, to take it a step further :D you could when you order the GC's go with a 20 percent or even more higher spring rate. then take those konis and have them revalved and shortened.
That should run close to a grand or more :D
I love these topics! makes me think about what I'm doing with my next acccord's Suspension hehehe

There are a lot of ways you can do it. The cheapest way to go is just cut your springs. If you dont drop it too drastically (more then 2.5 inches) your car will ride pretty decently. I've been told by a bunch of different places that springs and coilovers from 98 civics will fit on a 3G but it will ride a little lower then it would on a civic because a 3g is heavier. Aeorspeed makes coilovers for a 100 bucks and you can get those at most speed shops. My gf put sprint springs on her 91 accord and they ride NICE. She dropt hers 3 inches and its not bouncy or rough at all. they were only 210 bucks installed. if you want to go all the way, you'd put stuts and springs in, but to just lower and get better performance then what you get with a stock setup, i'd just get new springs and forget paying all the extra money for struts and crap.

you would have less performance with no new struts

Yep, you need stiffer shocks to keep up with the higher spring rate of the after market springs

First thing to decide is what you want from your car.
READ THIS POST BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING ELSE!

From their you can make the right choice. You will find it all to easy to read posts from people that know absolutely zippo nothing when it comes to the right choices and everything about what is the wrong choice. Listen to that wrong advice and you to will be blessed with a car that rides and drives like crap. And yet these people will still come back claiming, "but it really does drive great" or "it doesn't bounce at all, just like stock". Avoid these people like SARS!!! Now, if you don't care how the rides and drives or performs for that matter, go ahead and take their advice.
The only advice I give is, NOT advice that has you, cutting springs, heating springs, running super stiff springs, running stock struts, or running weak ineffective aftermarket struts. It is a universal fact that if you want your lowered car to ride and drive right (doesn't matter what year and make of car), you have to invest a certain amount of money to get it right. It has NOTHING TO DO WITH WANTING TO RACE OR AUTOCROSS AND EVERYTHING TO DO WITH RIDE AND DRIVE QUALITY. All lowering springs are stiffer, that takes care of the performance part, but running stock struts of weak ineffective struts like tokico h.p's or KYB gr-2's is about as effective as shortning mike tyson's arms in half to box with, not very effective.
So, if you just don't care, then go ahead and run the wrong things on your suspension, but if you do care. Consider Koni reds the minimum you should run with stiffer lowering springs. Then you will need to figure out how much you want to lower the car. 1.5", 2" or 2.25".
I am here to help members know the differance between right and wrong, to make factual choices. If you, or anyone else have questions to get you their, please do ask.
