The stock speakers for the 89 LXi 4 dr are 6 by 9's right? Srry, I don't know, and I can't really check right now.

Mine were 6 1/2 too. I guess Honda upgraded them for the FI models, or maybe just the 88-89 years.

yeh, i got 6 1/2 front and 6x9 back, btw, when u take out the old speakers remember not to look at them, you might die in 7 days.... or just throw up. I made a cop sick by lookin at it hehe.

i had to add my own 6 x 9s............ my dx came with no speakers in the back and only 6x5s in the front

The stock honda speakers looks horrible! It's just a POS paper aith a little paper bubble in the middle. It's amazing some have lasted this long.

I also had to add my own 6x9's, but if I remember correctly, they are stock 6 1/2's back there. I know the grills look like 6x9 grills, but the speakers are actually 6 1/2's back there. The only reason I say this is becauuse I had to cut holes in the metal in order for 6x9's to fit. Why would I have to do that if stock holes could fit a 6x9 correctly? I might not be right, but I am pretty sure, hope I was of help.
