keyless entry not working?

i have a 95 1/2 honda passport with a clifford arrow 2 alarm with keyless entry but the keyless antry isn't working. any ideas? alarm works fine and the trunk release works.

is it hooked up? Maybe the door lock and unlock wires came undone? Does it lock the doors? and just not unlock them? Where in Mass are ya located?

You may have crossed a wire for the interior locks... something along those lines.

ok. it came in the truck but it was professionally installed. i am in western mass near springfield.

Do the locks work when you use the lock/unlock button on the doors???

Do the lights flash when you arm/disarm??

Hang on! Do you even have a lock/unlock switch in the doors?? OR do the doors lock/unlock when you turn the key in the DRIVERS door???

will the remote lock, or unlock the doors? or does neither one of them work? The more info you give us, the easier it will be to help you fix it.

well it has power door locks which is what i think catalin was asking, yes the lights flash, the alarm works fine other than the keyless entry and the occasional mishap where it doesn't arm itself. when i say the keyless entry doesn't work i mean it is not functional in all aspects of the word; it does not unlock the doors nor does it lock them.

OK two things that could be wrong... if you have an actual button in the vehicle that will lock/unlock the doors then the problem most likely lies in the wiring. The locks should have been wired on the drivers side kick panel. Have a look for a gray/green and gray/orange wire from the alarm. Make sure that they are connected to a bluish plug in the kick panel.

If you don't have the button in the car like the pevious 95 Passports, then there is most likely a problem with a drivers door mounted actuator or the relays that run it. Relays are most likely mounted in the drivers kick panel.

If you get lost with this, you can always have a shop give you an estimate before they do anything.

ok. i know it has a button that says lock/unlock since it's more like a 96 passport since the model changed midyear resulting in a 95 1/2 passport.

Maybe it is the alarm that is messed up itself. how old is the alarm??

i really have no idea. it was in the truck when we got it. i know clifford doesn't sell it anymore they are now selling the arrow 3 vs. the arrow 2. sometimes it doesn't arm itself and sometimes it does. that something that not only gets annoying but also puzzles me.

no. the alarm works i set it off quie often. if it was in valet mode there would be a constant red light on the dash. it is either off or flashing when armed
