actually build a brand new A20?

http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/auto/jsp/mws/catdisplay.jsp?inputstate=4&catcgry1=Accord&catcgry2=1988&catcgry3=2DR+DX&catcgry4=KL5MT&catcgry5=

I think all the parts are there.

probably, but did you think how much it will cost you? it would be cheaper to drop B20 in it.

You could almost literally build an entire brand new 3g (SE-i even...hmmm), engine, tranny and all, if you ordered every part from that site. It would be HELLA expensive though, especially if you pay the $8000 something for a brake caliper, LOL. There were pricing errors on a few other parts too.

plus I bet most of those parts are no longer available. Most of those catalogues are old and the parts are not readily available (discontinued is a biotch)
it would be cool though, brand new car.

If I had teh money I'd prolly do a full restoration.

I wanna at least fix the problems and prolly get some new body panels. Discontinued would suck alot tho. I need little things like retractor motors and prolly the whole headlight assembly. NEw grille too. The only thing not available is the completely stripped down chassis. Building a new 3gee would be so great.

I am surprised Honda doesnt sell crate motors although you can buy a full bottom end from honda. I know many other manufacturers do and Audi and Porsche do and they come complete all the way down to the harness. We just ordered a 911 Turbo Crate motor for $30k cause the transport company dropped it off the 2nd level of the truck and cracked the block. But building stuff part by part is rather expensive while you could rebuild your old motor with better internals for much cheaper.
