Mine's an 87, I'm the 4th owner, and the odometer shows 157,000 kilometers. Pretty damn sweet seeing I've read some of your blokes have done 300,000 Miles!!!!

Not surprisingly, the car runs quite bloody nicely at the moment.

My 89 LX-i is at 318,000 miles, which comes to 530,000km. All original, and still runs and drives like new! :D Bought it with 140,000 miles. Come to think of it, tomorrow (May 30) will be 6 years to the day since my mom bought it back in 1997.

I JUST rolled to 230,000 miles. I was on the freeway and nearly crashed my car looking at it roll to 230,000 and at all those zeros! :lol Original engine seems to run just great except for the occasional acting up.

tach was at 1 or 2k(wrapped)
a few top speed runs that went 120ish. The car is about to fly off the road at that speed. Otherwise I would have gotten an exact number.

And its called the King of Beaters in its presense.

It has to defend its title very soon against a 92 Bonnie SE. :mad:

It fears nothing that is a beater.

The frame is rusted bad though, so bad I can not jack up the car to change tires with the normal jack. This will be its last season as my beater. No way i'm driving a rusty framed car this winter. It'd be like a Pepsi can in a accident.


my next beater will either be a 91-94 ser, contour svt or A4 1.8T.(last two not really beaters though)
