Makeing CAI

I have all the stuff I need but the pipe itself. What is the part # for JCW? Someone had it on here somewhere.(yes I did us that damn search thing) I looked in the how-toos for this and that #s not there anymore.:pimp:

some people call it cold air induction but same diff.

It allows colder, denser air into your engine

colder=denser=more power

Anyone think about making a hood scoop similar to the hood on the Subuaru WRX? I think it would look nice and it would deffinately be CAI

well a hood scoop for an intake is more risky due to water induction, even the ram air uses long ass runners to channel waters to specific weep holes so that u dont get water into ur system. Since the subaru uses the hood scool to cool the intercooler, and our throttle body being pretty close to the passenger strut, it would be pointess to have a scoop for the intake right in the middle. We just dont have enough clearance bwt the TB and the hood (underside) to route the piping.

Umm... just a question, I have never seen a true CAI on a 3g, I always just see short ram air intakes and those clearly take in more hotter air, and not cold air..... Is it possible to make a true CAI? and make it take in actual colder air from the front bumper??

Yeah many people on the board have true CAI's and if you check the how-to's, it has a thread on how to make a true CAI for our 3geez. Just search for true CAI's and check out the ones with pics.
