I actually like the clear and Red.

About the clears, It looks real good when it's *smoked*. I also like the red covering the clears too.

I think I'd do the red first.

ok well right now i am working on a tinted/smoked look, since thats what i am planning on doing. but i really like the body colored tint. i wonder how tough it would be to pull that off. maybe the paint guy could mix me something that would work translucently... :D

i will make an all red version next.

I have an Idea about achieving a smoked look. You know those Glass Stain paint?

I'd see if there was a color for smoked grey. However, I would know about the steps to achieve that look.

I think we'd have to heat up the cover and take it off and then take out the red and orange stuff.

i think the smoked looks are better than the red for his vehicle, cuz your car is already a dark color, along with your rims it would be the better route......imo

hostile: yeah our hatches are pretty similar. i would love to get a bumper done like on your car :D

and blazin: its ambers new camera that her parents bought her. a kodak dx 4330 ... its like a $280 camera. so its not that expensive. takes a lot better pics than her old camera, and it has 3x optical zoom, and it will take movies! :) its pretty cool

If anyone wants any photoshop mods done on their pics, just tell me. I'll hook you up. Those mods he's doing can be done very quickly. (5 minutes, more or less)

here's my mod. lowered an inch or two. removed the gas tank. Sealed the hatch. Sealed the door. I wouldn't really do this, i was just playing around, showing the possibilities.

No sponge tool was involved. To lower the first one, I made the wheels into new layers, and just moved them up. And of course, I had to trim them back down to fit inside the fenders. I just selected the fender area on the background, and selected the inverse. Then on the tire layer.........delete. Then, I had to clone out the wheels in the background layer.

To get rid of the door lines, I used the clone tool.


On the second pic, I was getting too tired to spend the time and make the bumper and everything look good. The blur is there because I used the blur tool, massively. I made the half door with the clone tool. I put the vette lights in mostly with the clone tool. It was a little difficult matching the angle of the two cars, so the lights look a little strange. If the two cars were photographed at a straight angle, things would look a lot better.

There are infinite possibilities with photoshop, without the normal experimental costs.

yeah. i tried to match the angle, but it's just not the same. Plus, I was tired and didn't spend a lot of time trying to make it look better.

The corvette lights were from a pic that was straight on. And, since this car is at an angle, it doesn't look so good.

yeah i know i should have used compressed jpeg, but i was in a hurry to post, and i have cable, so its not an issue. lol...

btw if you want i can just drop the car down that low... lol... it IS on coilovers after all! :)
