Time to put a new motor in the old 91 Prelude SI. Damn 2.1 is smoking like crazy. 1qt oil every 200 miles.

I was thinking of H22A or F20. Will those require custom fabrication? The H22A looks like it is set up similar to the B21A1, but the F20 looks quite different. Side flowing exhaust is one example.

I was thinking of ordering a front clip to get most of the parts with it. Is that a good idea or a wave off?

I like the 6 speed in the F20, but for $2k difference just in the motor/tranny combo I don't think it's worth it.

H22A should be fine. Powerful engine and not costing an arm and a leg. You'll still need custom mounts though. I plan on doing this swap myself sometime in the future.

Do you know if there will be any issues with weird axle angles, cutting the firewall, or anything else that would be detrimental to the smooth operation of the car after? I do not mind a lot of work or custom fabrication, but I want it to be as reliable as possible if I am going to spend mucho time to put it in.

are you talking about the F20A, F20B or F20C... the F20C is ALOT different and WILL NOT work easily

all the others are just similar to the regular F/H series

I meant the S2000 engine. I believe that is the F20B. As long as some custom mounting is needed, is the F20B or the H22A a better platform to build on?
