Hey everyone hows it going. Alot here HEHE. Well i just got dc headers, cam, cat back system and a wet nos hook up done on my car. LOL! I havent used the nos yet though im afraid to. BUt my question what that how much horse power am i getting right now its a new engine and everything. But ill tell you one thing the wheels twurp in 2nd. ANY IDEAS?:flipa:

probably about 115-120hp at the wheels before you hit NOS.
how big is your jet for NOS?

why would it be 115-120 if its 122 stock, id say prolly 130-135

The 122hp stock is not what you end up with at the wheels. The 130-135 would be at the crank, but it's not that high at the wheels (drivetrain power loss).

Damn, I'd be afraid of the nos too!! lol, and I've heard that once you hit nos you gain about 60 horses, but I don't know.

And I've HEARD from one of my many ignorant friends that everytime you hit the nos, you lose a year off your pistons... True?

Alright before ya'll get too confused with the HP numbers, I'll say that nobody was right so far. The A20A3 is 120 hp @ the CRANK. After subtracting about 10-15% for drivetrain loss, you end up with approximately 105 hp at the wheels, give or take a few.

no its not true about the NOS. I got it on a dino at my dads friends shop and it got 120.45 and when i turned on nos i got it up to 167.98 hp. I did't know this eather at the time but my dads friend also port and polished cylinder heads.

after i get my motor rebuilt, with reinforced pistons...im getin 50 shot nos...hopefully
