Gas tank size-

What size of a gas tank does an 88 Lx-i have? I was thinking its 15 gallon, but after many trips to the gas station, I now believe it's only a 12 gallon tank...

So can some one help me out and let me know what size it truely is.

Search b/c there's like 3 threads previous to this one about gas tank size and all of them say it's 15.9 gallons.

Does your gas light ever come on? The needle might be a little off but I have filled up once and it was 14.3 gallons so I know for a fact it's bigger than 13

I've never gotten that low, cuz the needle will be on empty and I'll go to fill up and it will only take like 11.8 gallons... so I guess i just have to learn that when the needle gets low, I still have 1/4 of a tank left...

Well I think they do that so you have a buffer so you just won't go empty. So you can get to a gas station ASAP.

Probably, next time I'll wait for the light to come on and then see how much it takes... but its not good to run that low cuz then all the crap in the bottom of the tank starts to go through the fuel lines and thats a good way to mess up the injectors... I know I've always treated my car good with gasm, but I don't know about the person who had it before me so i don't trust what they may have been runnin in there...
