hello good peoples. I'm still a youngin (under 18) and from Minnesota. I recently aquired a 89 Accord Coupe Lx-i and at first I was semi fond of it, it had rust and being a noob made it look uncool but the past few days I've been studying the site and realising how rockin' my 3geez could become! Anyway everyone seems really cool here, I heard about a possible MN meet which would be cool. It's summer soon which means Job and money which I think I want to spend on my new accord now. I was thinking of saving money to buy a newer car but I think I might just invest it into the Accord. Anyway here are some pics:

The Side:

The Rust:

What do you guys think? It's in the shop right now, had trouble starting and other things. What do you guys suggest doing to clean it up a bit for cheap? I heard that painting the back turn lights red was a cheap one (illegal?), and shaving the emblams(extra holes?). Anyway, thanks for looking.

Yeah that's the common rust that MN people have :D Welcome to the board. And yeah I was planning a MN meet but didn't get the response I wanted and so I just planned to go to another meet (Ontario on June 21) And I have gotten the car ready and now saving every penny to get there and have fun.

Yeah if you need any help don't be affraid to PM or email me. If I can't help you out I will try and find someone who can. Little Canada is way up there isn't it? I guess I'm on the Southern MN side.

Little Canada is kinda unheard off. It's in the Roseville/Maplewood area. If you know where that is... which you probebly do. Yea, I appriciate the offer on the help, ill be sure to take you up on it sometime.

I like it. Although yours doesn't look like it fell victim to MN rust. I'm sure I've allready seen it how and what not.... but whats the quick link to the how to or just can you simply tell me?

The handiest tool you can buy, a dremel. What I did was cut the lense off and pulled the orange piece out and then cut some plexiglass to size and siliconed it on the light housing and there you have it.

Hey man I was there once too. We all gotta start somewhere. Hell, this site has changed my life. I was going to school for law enforcement and well I changed and now I'm going to school to be a mechanic b/c this site has opened my eyes and I found something I really like to do now.

Welcome aboard. You're from Little Canada? That's cool. I used to have a friend from there - yeah, I know where it's at cuz I've been there once.

Not really. Only 33 hours to go and 31 hours to get back with both trips non-stop. The ride was a bone stock 98 Tacoma LX (4-cylinder automatic).
