Good Mornin',

My 86 Carb accord A/C fan works and doesn't....the person before me had it jimmy rigged running str8 to the battery and grounded. Some plug was missing so they cut the wires and ran it from there. I tried putting a 30 amp switch to turn it on and it melted...ran the power to fuse box..blew the fuse..what should I do?

hmmm....sounds like you may have hooked the switch up wrong.
Is 1 of the sensor plugs missing?

Not too sure if this will be of any help, but here's the wiring of the carb fan circuit! Do you want to try to repair it to the way it's meant to be, or just get the fans running any way possible? There's really not much to it, the sensor in the bottom of the radiator, the fan relay, and the fans. like Pete asked, any idea what's missing?

The top half of some clear plastic plug(A/c Fan) is missing...somebody hot wired the fan straight to the battery.

Duhhhh!,I paniced the connector directly from the fan has been cut....the knucklehead had power runnin' directly into the fan bypassing the connector.
