Hey, was nice out today and decided to put on my intake and valve cover! The intake is a modded AEM 90-93 integra intake, the filter sits right behind the horn on the passenger side. I don't think I'm getting the full effect of the intake though, after a drive the pipe feels cool before the bypass valve but after it, it is toasty warm... I'm guessing its sucking in the hot air from around the engine...Even still, I do notice a differance, especially in the tone of the engine. Very happy with the way it all turned out! :D

Lots and lots of cutting! I took 1988starters idea and cut it into 3 pieces! then you have to measure it up and angle it properly, all that bs. Its hard to say you just cut here and here because you really can't. You have to almost do it 92-95 civic short ram style and hold it there, and judge where to cut it.

Well the reason the pipe after the bypass is hotter then the one before it, is because the bypass valve creates a gap between the two peices of pipe so the heat can't soak in.
If you check the TB and intake manifold, they should be hotter then the pipe after the bypass valve.
There can also be heat soak between the rubber and the metal pipe... it's just not as much.

I know it would be a shame to coat the nicely polished pipes and add gaskets where the rubber connectors overlap the pipe... but doing that will all help stop heat soak. and add a little extra HP.
