idle mixture??

Hey, how do I adjust idle mixture? I have some sputtering when I idle and someone told me idle mixture would take care of it and also enhance the performance.
Also, how beneficial is a pcv valve replacement? I know it needs to be done, but does it really help?

change PCV valve first ! ( it's in the faqs )
then check out the how to's ( how to adjust your carb ! ) to adjust your mixture !

if it spatters, it is your distributor.
i had the same problem. Fuel mixture will not help.

I tried adjusting the idle mixture and it didn't seem to do anything! I couldn't tell if I just wasn't getting the screw in right or what, but it was really frustrating. Is there a trick to it?
Yeah, I'll check out the distributor too.

i use a mirror ! and make sure the screw is turning ! only 1/8 turn at a time then floor the car after each 1/8 turn !

if the idle mixture screw isn't doing anything... it could mean your throttle stop and or idle is set too high.
