ok guys my car is throwing out a code 17 over and over and over. The engine light does not come on, but my tachometer bounces around. In about 2 hours i am replacing the fuel pump, because thats what i think could be causing it to bounce. Code 17 says my high speed sensor is not working right or something. I took the car up to 115mph before i took off the accelerator, and it didnt skip a beat.

ummm, no reverse speed? I dont think anyone has a speed reading when going in reverse. I dont. I have a tach reading though. But from experiance the odomotor moves forward when going in reverse. I was hoping it would go backwards like in the commercial. (darn TV corrupting my mind!)

If you have fuel injection, then you can find it below the driver's seat from behind. Just open the flap and turn the key to ON to read the codes (if any).

It's in your gauge assembly. Here's the test. Sorry, the quality sucks!
BTW, if you reset the ecu, fuse 11, and drive it , does your cruise control engage?

ohhhhh, so is that the white box behind the tach that I took off when changing my gauges and stuff? or maybe I screwed up the gauges when my speedo accidentally went too far when I was taking it apart... oh well...
