I was just driving to work, and everything was fine, then bam no more power steering. I jut got it fixed. It's crazy how hard it was to turn. I've driven a car without power steering, but forgot how hard it was. Makes you appreciate power steering you know. But it's all good now. Only cost $50

his accord it says in the thread title. I had the power steering pump go out on my bros capri and it was harder than hell to get all the way home and had to drive like 6 miles with it that way. The reason it is so hard to drive a car with power steering when it goes out is because of the steering wheel diameter. you ever driven an older car that didnt have power steering?? I used to own a 64 galaxie that didnt have ps and it was easy to drive because of the HUGE steering wheel. funny stuff

When did you last replace your belts Mike? If your power steering belt went you may want to take a look at your alternator/water pump belt. That one actually matters. $50 is pretty steep. The part was probably around $15 and it takes about 2 minutes ito install it and set the tension.

Yeah everything else had been changed in the past couple years so I'm ok. Ya it was so hard to turn when it first snapped. What happened was it go so hot in there it just threw the belt off...
