OK, first off, I did a search on this and didn;t find much info on it, so please hold off on ur flaming.

So, I have the 89 se-i, and I want to throw a true CAI on there, not just a ram air intake. I was looking through threads and saw that some people take them from civics, some from tegs, and even some from newer model accords.
So could people please post which cars your true CAI's are made for, and what kind of modifications you had to do to them to make them fit properly. And please post which make the CAI is as well.

Thanks

ok, well I just went to a local tuning shop and asked the guy about it, and he said that because of that wierd little intake tube, that sorta comes off the main intake, and takes in air right near the radiator. that a true cai may not be possible. but i dont think that makes sense.

I mean, how much can that one little tube do?!

all the tubes on the factory intake are removed... search for a 90-93 teg intake and it should come up with a pic.. like search on the board.. i think starter has one

here is my 90 teg cai it required a bit of cutting I just layed it in place and fit it also you may want to go 2.5 inch piping or you will have to widen the stock hole into the fender.http://images.cardomain.com/member_img_a/304000-304999/304085_8_full.jpg

I have a a AEM CAI from a 94 accord and its a pice and all i had to do was move the battery over and cut/bend the sheet metal for the hole bigger!!!! Because i remove the plastic flap the filter drops just below the bumper so it gets direct air!!!
