Okay, 15 bonus points to the first one welcoming me to this board.

I've spent the last year on hondasociety.com with my 4th gen Accord and while I will probably still stick around there, I'm going to be shifting to a 3rd gen ('86 DX; no pics yet, sorry) soon (as soon as I sell my '90).

Right now, it's my wife's car and is 100% stock with 70k miles. As soon as I sell mine and start driving her's (so I can get her something a little bigger) I'll start working on it (wing, wheels, body kit).

Hope I can learn a lot from y'all.

Welcome. Interesting, you are the first member to retrograde to a 3G Accord from a newer model, and to the carbed model to boot. Does that mean you believe that the 3G is better than a 4G. :D

Actually it's a little more complicated than that. Right now my wife has an '86 DX 4-door and I have a '90 LX Coupe. We also have three kids. The real problem comes in when all five of us need to go somewhere AND I have to take all my bass equipment (bass, amp, gig bag, amp stand, etc). It just doesn't fit.

Soooo.... Because the '86 has fewer miles on it and because we can sell the '90 for more $$, we are going to sell the '90, I'm taking the '86, and we're buying something bigger for the wife and kids. That way we can take the new bigger vehicle when we all need to go somewhere together.

Did that make any sense? It didn't to me.

Well thank you kindly. I see in your sig, you've got a Midnite Moose Xenon H4 Conv. How are those working for you? I was looking at them. Brighter?

welcome. I thought by your name you had like 18" subs in your trunk or something but seeing as you're getting a DX it's gonna be difficult to get good bass in the car cuz the seat doesn't fold or have an armrest you can "port" :p

That's true. "Bassman" (I'm Z-Bassman on Honda Society) comes because I play bass, but you're right. Right now, I've got three Alpine amps back there. One 4-channel is feeding the mids and highs Blaupunk's (sp?) in the four corners. Then I have two 2-channel amps, each bridged and each feeding sub freqs to a 6 1/2 SAS Bazooka Tube. It's not thundering bass, but it hits pretty good and it's real clean. Plus, I haven't lost too much trunk space and when I have to haul my bass equipment around, I need to space.

No, the only thing I'm known for online is being the oldest one on the Honda boards. I'm pretty laid back.
