Hi, I need to know where I can find a cold air intake system for a 1989 Honda Accord LXi, 2-door. If someone can tell me how and where to get one, I would greatly appreciate it. Also, if anyone knows where I can get a DC Sports Catback Exhaust System for the same car, I would greatly appreciate it. Email me at [email protected]

*choke*choke* *search* *choke*choke*. no one but weapon R makes intakes for our cars and they charge like $150 for them. its better to ghetto rig your own.

Thank you NXRacer for your reply. At the time that I joined I thought that I wouldnt be checking this post that often, but I have found this to be a great source of information for people who have 3rd Generation Cars just like you and me. I apologize for my comment about not checking it. I hope to be a helpful asset to this board. If anyone knows anything more about my question, please take the couple of seconds to type down the knowledge that you possess to help a poor schmuck like me... :stupid:

If you really want a cold air intake you need to get rid of that Weapon R. The weapon R is a short ram and will only draw in the warm air around the engine. If you want a CAI do a search and look at the different types that will fit.

Any intake will work you just need to buy the connectors and cut the pipe to fit it up. the longer the intake the more material you have to work with.
Get at least a 2.5" - 3" diameter one.

Umm.. weapon R = ripoff

If you were gonna get a short ram, get one from a civic and cut it..

damnit.

I have a cold air intake off a 94 accord!!! To fit you just hafta move the battery sideways and bend the sheet metal to make the hole in the fender bigger!!! It is worth it!!!

No, some cutting is involved!

The AEM is 2.5" in diameter. Our throttle body is 2.5" in diameter. So if your pipeing is bigger you will notice it.

Well AEM are even expensive CAI kits. If you make your own it only costs what maybe $50. Which brings me back to the orginal post of CAI choices. Yes the Weapon-R is not a CAI just make your own they will still look clean and really are not that hard to make.

You make your own for around $50 but that is with a cheap ass filter. Mine cost $90 with a K&N filter.:pimp:
