O.k. lately my car has been running a little crappy, I charged my a/c up today with some freeon and the hose was broken going to the pump. I changed the hose and filled the rest up with freeon. Would this broken hose be the cause of my car running a little crappy and having a loss of power?

Could you tell if the hose was like spraying any important parts, or just kinda hanging?

I would not guess so, R12 would have leaked out long ago, and it would have been just a hose sitting there.

Is the car running better now?

It runs alot better now. Yah, the hose was just sitting there, I can't believe I didn't see it. If the pump was turning and no pressure was in the house, wouldn't I lose power even if the freeon was emptied out?

Well the compressor would not run with out any coolant in it. It has a low-pressure cut off switch.

Beats me about it not running good. I would not think having a line off would make you lose power, because i had many leaks in my system for ages and when i fixed it noticed no change in the car.
