Hello everyone, here's my 3gee project car:
http://hometown.aol.com/maverick707/myprojectcar.html

MY current mods are:
-DC ceramic headers
-Ractive triple core spark plug wires
-90-93 Integra AEM CAI
-NGK Iridium spark plugs
-custom 2.25" piping from cat-back
-Carsound high-flow catalytic converter
-Stock 2.25" inlet/outlet muffler with chrome tip (until I get rear BW body kit bumper installed, then dual Remus-type exhaust custom fabricated)
-DC strut bar anodized blue
-Koni red adjustable struts
-Sprint 2.25" drop springs
-ADDCO Anti-sway bars
-18x8 ADR Lightning rims with 215/35/18ZR BFGoodrich Scorcher T/A's (Blue)
-shaved emblems
-custom painted interior, almond beige and black
-Alpine 240 watt CD receiver (4 channels x 60 watts) MOSFET FINAL
-4 Alpine 5 1/2" Speakers front and back
-two 12" 200watt JBL subs with box (for now)
-2 Cuspid audio 1200 watt amps, one per sub

Hmm I guess that's it for now. Future mods are:
-90-93 Integra front bodykit, 90-93 Accord sedan sides and rear
-Aegeian Blue Pearl (03 Acura TL), Electron Blue Pearl (99-00 Civic Si), or Glacier White Pearl (95-99 Mitsu 3000gt) paint (I'll wait till the bodykit is installed to see what color looks good).
-new sand beige colored carpet
-custom leatherette-type material upholstery on seats; two-tone black and almond beige
-mobile video system, LCD screens in headrests and dash, Playstation 2/Xbox
-fiberglass all interior pieces and custom fiberglass fabricate trunk for new Audiobahn 12" subs (w/ chrome basket); colormatch fiberglass interior with color of car

As you can see, I'm more into building a pimp cruisin' show car than a racer. I have put the basic mods like intake and headers and mufflers...but that is as far as I will go. I like the reliability and the longevity of the engine.:super:

THANKS GUYS AND NICE TO BE ABOARD!

yeah we should have a meet. and yeah im gonna complete the shaved molding. im not gonna shave it flat though. my friend's civic has his moldings shaved flat and it looks like something is missing on the side of the car. now he wants me to design some side graphics for him.

anyways, what im gonna do is leave the bottom part indented and just fill from the top down. kinda like slant shave it....sorta like this if it shows up right:

inside of door / outside of door

cus i realized the bottom is slightly higher than the top part where the moldings go.

it would be hard to shave the moldings by just filling the molding gaps and tack weld a strip of metal on the molding gaps, you would have to fill almost the entire door with fiberglass bondo to get a smooth look.

i just filled the rain gutter at the rooftop and the emblem holes to get a clean look. kinda hoping the girlies won't know what car i have. hehe. it would be our little secret right guys? :lol

Looks great, nice rims. What is the resolution, 640x480?

ICEMAN707

thanks guys, yah i know the resolution is really shitty. lol. the car is not painted yet by the way. the resolution is so shitty you can't tell that's it's really grey primer. :lol anyways, im not getting the car painted until i get the bodykit on. plus im saving up for a high quality paint job and im not really rushing it. im looking toward maybe aegeian blue pearl from the 03 acura tl's, electron blue pearl from the 96-99 vtec civic si's, or the glacier pearl white from the 94-99 mitsubishi 3000gt's. i think that's the best pearl white i've ever seen and the pearl yellow is not bad, but not my style. the pearl white is perfect.

the 18's are a perfect size, no rubbing at all. i was scared they would, but to my surprise they didn't. although i took precautions and rolled the rear fender lips though just to make sure. the baseball bat trick didn't work for me, the sheetmetal back there are thick and hard to bend. i just took a 3lbs. hammer and gently tapped the fender till the lips are nice and folded. the stiff koni's did their job keeping the car from bottoming out with only 2" suspension travel. i had the koni's at the stiffest setting cus i realized the sprint springs are very soft and bottom out easily...almost as soft as stock i think...i dunno why, but it feels that way.

when i had stock shocks on, it bounced and bottomed out alot. it was a nightmare. i kept holding out and waiting for the konis to become available cus i wasnt about to buy any other strut brand. when the koni's came, i installed a set of urethane strut bump stops, strut boots, strut bushings, and new strut mounts to do it right. i took the liberty to install it myself and it only took me 2 hours with no air tools. last time i had a shop install my suspension it was rattling and squeeking in some places. they never cared to change any worn parts or tell me which parts are worn.

anyways, the rims are 18x8 with 42mm offset. but the best rim size if you want 18's should be 18x7. but they hardly come like that. 7" width are commonly found in 17's, some 18's have 7.5" width and are the closest. the outer lips on mine stick out past the tire wall on 215mm width 35 series tires. so i have to be careful not to hit curbs. they ride a bit rougher and are about 7 lbs. each heavier than the stockies, but that's the sacrifice i was willing to accept in exchange for looks.

i'll keep my fellow 3gee'rs posted on my progress and share some ideas too. and thanks for everyone's support!:super:
