MY PCV VALVE IS STUCK IN SOME KINDA GROMMET OR SOMETHING AND I CAN'T GET IT OUT! Does it twist or something cause I'm having LOTS of trouble. I have a 87 Honda Accord DX...carb. I got the hose off but the metal part is still in the hole.
HELP!

Vice grips and a lot of hard pulling is how I got one out of my gf's 86 lx

Also that gormmet is a hose that runs down to the crank case. So do not damage that hose to bad cause a new one will cost $20. And to raplace it you will have to take off your intake manifold. So be carefull and good pulling.

So all I have to do is pull hard? I've been giving it all I've got with a pair of pliers. The pcv valve will rotate and what not but it just won't come out. Is there any secrets to this???

ummm...oh.....mine broke when trying to get it out. GET A RAZOR BLADE AND TRY TO CUT A SLIT FROM THE BOTTOM OF THE PCV TO THE TOP WITH A RAZOR BLADE. I DID THIS AND USED A VACUUM AFTERWARDS TO MAKE SURE I DIDN'T LOSE ANY PARTICLES INTO THE HOLE. GOOD LUCK.

I don't thing you can slit the hose cause then you would have to get a new ONE and it is squeezed between the manifold and the PC valve. If you can't pull it out I'm afraid you will have to take off the manifold.

Put a slit in the pcv not the hose, it's hard but i did it.

I got it out!! Well really my stepdad got it for me. It was hard for him at first but then he went out to his truck and got the old rusty pliers and pulled it on out. I put the new one in and now everything's cool. Thanks guys.
