EGR Tube

this is for my friends 89 lx. He broke the EGR tube (i think it's the egr tube, it's the top tube connected to the Exhaust manifold.) I have a feeling about this, but can i live without it? Cause right now i can't get anything to get that tube off. I've tried heat, liquid wrench. I can't fit my pipe wrench on their and so i can't get enough leverage. Any suggestions about this? Thanx all.

I had to take off my Radiator and A/C condenser to get a good angle on it with a pipe wrench. Also is helps if you spray the crap outof it with WD-40 for a day and let it soak in for a good day.
