Yup most of the work stays under the hood... when i get my performance done I think I'll make the car look at least normal on the inside... maybe

Hey anyone know if you can be in the car while it is being dynoed or do you have to let some other kid who doens't know the ins and outs of the car drive??? I guess I'll find out when I go.

The new rims look wicked on there! Bah, who needs an interior when you've got raw power like that? :p

(nice deck, i have the same one)

What is the world have you done to your interior? Well i guess less weight=more power?

What is the contraption you have on the weber...looks weird but interesting, hmm?

Nice car though, with all the weight shavings and weber carb, U gotz to be movin':D

The aluminum bracket stablizes the throtle brackets tendency to move and or buckly under quick/heavy acceleration... normally the movement of the throttle l;inkage would be smooth and thus puting minimal strain on the bracket... but for some dang reason the bracket still began to lean forward... throwing everything out of wack.

the other aluminum flat bar was rivited to the throttle linkage to adjust how the linkage would travel from IDLE to WOT.

I have a spring holding the TV cable linkage on the trans... to a 6,000 rpm shift constant position... I would highly recommend not doing this... but i can shake off many cars coming out of a turn because of this... :D

the only whay I gain higher rpm shifts is by selecting the gear via the shifter and holding it till 7,500.

Whoa, the only thing I did to the weber was drill some holes to get the linkage correct...You went waaaay further than that! What you did look more interesting than my setup...oh well guess I might tweak with mine a little more:)

A20A1: You stay in the car during the test. The person running the dyno tells you what to do and takes the readings. BTW, your car looks great with those rims! Nice pics too...makes me want to convert to a Weber carb! :D

how hight can you rev and can you shift gears? and how much does it cost and where do i go?

carotman
06-11-2002, 07:27 AM
you do not shift gears. You stay in 3rd gear usually

You rev it until it starts to lose power (or the engine doesn't like that high revs)

awe... then I should stay in second bog like hell till I finally reach 4,000 then see what happens at 7,500...

damn my auto... if I leave it in 3rd it will shift before my max rpms...

Just a question...what kind of lips are those? I like how they look and they look simple to install too. Let me know!!!

A20A1
06-11-2002, 09:22 PM
I cut corners to make those lips... :)

Its off the bottom portion of the rear bumper... you can't make a full lip because of the exhaust cut-out... so I make both sides as long as I can but still keeping them equal.

Flip the bit you cut off the rear bumper upsidedown... now you have a mounting surface... you may need to cut some of the plastic off where the surface isn't flush.

It's better to get the part off a junk bumper, if you can find one.
I used the one off my car :crying:

How much was that speedometer? That is phat..can you get one white faced gauge to make it look THAT much better? NIce roll cage effect over the shifter..atleast if you roll over, your shifter wont brake...and its 'padded for your comfort' how nice..

Car needs a lot of work, but if its fast..then say its a sleep and give them all the :flip: when they want to race you..

Nate.

What is your quarter mile time?!! And are you revving to 7,500 on the stock valvetrain?

A20A1

A modified cam and valve clearance will keep the valve train in safe limits without ramming the pistons.

I'm looking into titanium springs and retainers
