How much would a machanic charge to put in a water pump

well.....I am getting to ready to get a new car in like a week.......and my water pump goes out.....I looked up the part for like 22$......does anyone know how much the average machanic would charge to put one in........can I handle this type of job.....I have put alternators in before...and flushed radiators....and put in a power steering line.........hehe.... thx guys....

yup it's pretty easy to change the pump... just don't overtighten the belt when you reinstall the pump... make sure you clean the gasket surface reall good before installing the new pump... and use some tacky gasket sealer that comes in a tube to hold the new rubber gasket for the water pump in place while you install the new pump.
