Ok, it was my B-Day a couple days ago, and I have been looking for a new deck for my car. I have been thinking about getting this deck from Ikesound: http://ikesound.com/Prod_Details.asp?Prod_Id=1232 It has some of the features I want, but not all.

Then there is this one:http://ikesound.com/Prod_Details.asp?Prod_Id=1231 and it has all the features I want, but cost almost $100 more.

Now I could probably get my mom to get me the first one for my B-Day present, or she said she would go halves with me on the second one.

What are your opinions on Clarion ProAudio products? Which one of the two should I go with? Is there perhaps another deck with similar features that I should look into? Some answers to these questions and other general information would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance for any and all info,

p.s. Here are the same decks, only off of Clarion's website: http://www.clarion.com/proaudio/srcunit02.htm

Just a thought you might want to check ebay and see if you can't find it cheaper. Tonight I probably saved $700-$1000 by buying my complete system off of ebay. Everything was brand new also. And everything was one brand :)

I don't think I've ever heard a bad word about Clarion HU's... supposed to be quality all the way.

I don't think you could go wrong on either, just pic the one you'd rather have.

Oh and I thought I saw that deck on ebay for about $150 brand new. So it's just a thought. that was one of the 2 Clarions I was looking at getting. But I ended up with a sweet Kenwood deck, 4 kenwood 6.5's, 2 12" Kenwood subs, etc.... Read my thread about stereo stuff if you want to know what I just bought. (Too much to list)

Clarion is much higher quality than Kenwood... just FYI 4DoorAccordDX

I don't think you can lose with either of those decks, so it's really up to you

Thanks for everyone's imput. Right now I have an Clarion 180W deck, and I have been very pleased with its performance. I have had it for about 2 1/2 years, and it's just now starting to give me a few problems when I try to play CDs, but it's probably just a little dirty. I live down a gravel road so there's probably just some dust on the lense or something. Have any of you guys used those cleaning CDs? The ones that have a little brush on them that is supposed to clean the lens? What are your thoughts on those? I was prety set on one of the two decks, I just wanted some reassurance that I wasn't getting a POS. I'll try E-Bay before I buy, see what I can find there.

Thanks again for all your advice/imput.
