Hey guyz who painted their interiors. Im doing mine in a metallic like silver. My question is do yall clear coat yours after painting or do you leave it and just armor all with the rest of the dash?

Need some answers pretty quick so i can get my car back together.

TIA :sadwave:

Here are a couple pix of the door handle jam and door air vents in primer so you can see the contrast of colors.

cool. i wanna repaint my exterior seattle silver with a two-tone interior of light grey/mild yellow. i think it would actually look pretty good together. that and put on some 16" gunmetal wheels from z racing and wrap them in some good michelins.

looking good. i would like, sometime in the near future, to repaint my exterior seattle silver and redo my interior in a two-tone scheme of light grey/mild yellow. that with the AEM big brake uprgrade kit, 16" gunmetal wheels from z-racing all wrapped in some good michelins. oh yeah!!!!!

clear coatin wouldnt hurt, especially on the pieces that u chose to paint. on others like arm rest and everything i dont think it is necessary. I guess it all depends on how you feel. Like i said earlier i didnt clear coat and mine turned out nice! Good luck keep up the good work and let me know how it goes and keep us informed on the project!

I finished several pieces today and decided it looked good without the clear coat. I think clear coat might be too shiny also. I like the incognito look:D

Heres my LED rearview mirror i finished today. It was harder to paint then the interior pieces because of the smooth plastic it comes with.

89Accord: Im using general purpose primer from Brite Touch and Dupli-Color truck & van paint both purchased at Wal-Mart.

If you run a searh on krylon in the forum, you will also find pix of Hostile Javas hatch that he did in Krylon paint.

i would say keep armor all stuff away from your painted parts. anything thats not painted, go ahead and do it. i dont know about clear coating the stuff. i think i like that silver. i may try to work something like that into my interior. mine is now red and black, with some stock brown.

i painted parts of my interior silver too. i took the honda emblem out of my steering wheel, cut out the black, cut the wires to the bottom horn buttons (who needs four anyway?) painted the honda emblem blue to match the exterior, made a holder for a light, mounted the light just above the emblem on the inside of the front cover of the wheel (the light is one of the blue ones used for the interior), cut a hole for a switch under the honda emblem, ran the power wires from the horn to the switch to the light, and it looks ill! im getting the extior paited metalflake silver in the near future (after i get my teg blackwidow bodykit put on), getting some light weight white rims, getting blue neons under the car and in the trunk, and doing all the wiring and tubing under the hood in blue. hopefully getting some dragon graphics from 3dcargraphics.com, and getting a dragon embroidered across the back seat, its gonna be sick!!!!:werd: :smokin: :super:
