From what I can unerstand of the side markers is that all I have to do it heat it with a blowdryer, take a flat head screw driver and scrap all the orange off, and then paint them with chrome paint so that the little triangle things reflect the chrome.

Are you talking about the sidelamps or the bumper signals?

Ok then heating them up is useless to pop them out because they don't. You'll need a dremel tool with a lot of extra discs and a lot of patience to cut all of the orange out. Get some of that light ceiling fixture stuff and cut it to size them silicone it in place. I never painted mine chrome inside but I heard it reflects the light better so its brighter but Mine work just fine.

I have a 88 accord, I was thining about getting some 86 or 87 side markers. I think that will have to be DX or LX. I like the ones with most of the side marker is orange. I wanna make that clear so it will be more noticeable..Does anone know what I am talking about?

I know what your talking about, all models of the 86-87 came with those style corner lights. As for making them clear, I haven't taken a look at them to see whats involved. As far as I know its Just cutting out all the orange and cutting a piece of plexi glass or whatever you want to fit in there. I'm sure someone else on here has done it though and can explain it better.

Problem with the how-to is that all of us that have done these took a similar aproach, but not exactly the same. Even our clears are made differently. Meaning, '88 ltd. just used the lighting plastic for the lens, and I used that same plastic, but I also siliconed a piece of 1/8" plexi to it so I'd have a dead smooth outer finish.

I suppose I might just sit in front of the computer for another 2 hrs. tonight and type up a how to. Just to warn everyone though, I'm VERY long winded, and will put in every little retarted detail that I can remember. Problem is, I don't have any pics. I'll make another set sometime and be sure and take pics every step of the way with that, and add them to the how-to. But don't hold your breath on the pics.

How do you get the plexi to have those bumps on them like the stock orange ones. I don't want them to have a completly clear glass look to them.
