First off, will a flywheel be useful for either 5spd or auto trannies?

Second, can a flywheel for a 88-89 LXi or SE-i be used on an 88 LX with little to no modification? If not, are there any flywheels available for the 88 LX?

This also leads me to ask - what parts from LXi's and SE-i's can be used on the carbed models with very little modification or none at all? This might be a good FAQ question, as I see people asking about different parts quite often, but it is hard to get a straight answer.

auto dont have flywheels they use a pressure plate(different system)

and if you have a 5 spd and can get it out alot of performance shops will machine down your one then refit and your away (120 nz,60 us i spose)

but if you lighten you will lose tourque and if you lighten too much it can break...hence the fact after market ones for the weight are stronger

hope this helps
