I finished my ultra-violet LEDs lightning, now i finishing my custom white gauges. I will print it on paper with high quality color laser printer or (it's another crazy idea) - print it on ALUMINIUM (some companys in Russia can do it).

In my beta-testing of U-V Lightning, i print gauges on my old printer in BW - looking good. Just for example, how u-v lightning working. Don't see on ugly corners of gauge and black hole for arrow...

Thanks, guys!!! I'm working on it now. I already done speedometer and tach, but FT gauge not finished now. I working on precise correction to real measuring! Because than i made first version of tach and speed - they don't show real speed and RPM. Now it's diamond accuracy! :))

Paul Aerodeck86
08-20-2002, 05:57 AM
You can see only a seen spectrum of ultra-violet light. It also reaches (achieves) effect of a luminescence of white color. BTW, if to put a banknote near to devices - that it is possible to check up its authenticity :flip: Though, if not I am mistaken, dollars (as against EURO) have no luminous under u-v areas...

This text i translated by automatic translator

P.S. FT gauge is ready, just need to print on color printer and check precise of measuring!

Got some advice paul, try Cold Cathode Black light tubes, they are small and easy to work with and are about the same price of neons, ive got a blue CCTL tube shining on my gauges, im possibly going to change it to a black light, ive removed all my light globes, looks cool so far.

Your gauges look awesome so far :)

AT, MPH. I'm so down for that. He has mad skills because his font is a different size than stock, so he's getting it accurate vs. just being close. Would we need new dash lightbulbs or would his just be snap on and use the existing bulbs?? Doesn't matter cuz those gauges are SICK.

Paul Aerodeck86
09-12-2002, 02:57 AM
I continue my project and have already found the printing office that can print the devices using the flourescence colours. The final version will look more effectvely than the Reverse Indiglo Gauges! But to calculate whether it is expedient to place an order to a printing house it is well to know whether someone is ready to order devices from me. Both devices separately and the illuminated variants.

The approximate price of the printings is 10$ (shipping included), completed illuminated versions - 40$ (shipping included). More exact prices I can give when I'll know the amount of orders.

Please post in this topic your mail and type of gauges if your ready to order it.

P.S. Big thanks to my friend for translating, i hope you will understand this text.

P.P.S. I still needed MPH and 86-87 FT scans.

2Fast_Fiero
09-12-2002, 10:28 AM
The FT Needles face inward on the Manual Trany. Not outward. I don't know about the Automatic trany FT Guages, but I sent him all the stock ones from the Manual and Automatic, and they are like the same.

SiR
09-12-2002, 11:29 AM
Well mine is an 87 auto and they point inward. I thought where it was built(Japan or USA) is what desides where the needles point. My case its build in Japan.

bobafett

ok, well maybe 86-87 isnt the determining factor... but either way, the needles still point out on my car!~

Well dude, your car is the very first I've seen like that, every single accord I've seen has the needles pointing inward, even the FT Guages you sent me, they are made for the needles facing INWARD and I have a 1989 Honda Accord LXi 5SPD Manual

ImporTypeRx7
09-12-2002, 05:40 PM
My 86's Nedles point outward also...weird...

2Fast_Fiero
09-12-2002, 06:45 PM
The difference might only be from the DX/LX and the LXi/SEi. Because on all the 86-89 LXi's and the 89 SEi, every FT guage was facing inward.

2Fast_Fiero
09-12-2002, 06:47 PM
Or the difference from the Coupe/Sedan/Hatchback/Aerodeck. You have an Accord Hatchback LXi, I have an Accord Sedan LXi, our FT guages are different.

I think it's difference from manufacturer of gauges. But it's not really matter. I just need OUTWARD pointing scan version of FT and MPH version of speedo.

bobafett
09-12-2002, 10:07 PM
well what about ImporTypeRx7 with an 86 LX sedan, whose needles point the same way as mine.

and the reason i sent you inward needles is cause i was pretty sure you needed them, since you have an 89!!!! why would i send you the wrong gauges on purpose??

bobafett
09-12-2002, 10:08 PM
i have the outward guages for the auto. but they look right for a 5 speed when you just erase the gear parts from the gauge!

i will email you in a sec.

2Fast_Fiero
09-13-2002, 01:04 AM
Paul, I sent them in a personal messege on 3Geez, not email. Ohh and when you gave me them guages BobaFett, I had an '87 :P I'm only looking for an '89 because my brother blew the motor in my '87. You have an '86 HB, I got an '87 Sedan. Thats the only difference right? They are both LXi's. Why I'm pressin this is cause I'm all tripin. Why would they be different brand of guages when everyone's guages I've seen were the same as mine? What reason would they have to just out of the blue on a few cars change the Guage Faces? Maybe on the SEi's Guage's because thats the Special Edition Accord it would have some fancy guages. But It don't. I'm stumped, all this thinkin made me tired, I'm goin to bed lol:beer:
