you will never truly know till you dyno it...but I would say around 120-125...did you have any other head work done other than that? i.e. renforced springs, valve work that could help too

man. don't waste your money on 'performance' plugs. I have yet too see any proof that so called (and more expensive) 'performance' plugs are any better. My advice (coming just from experience) is to get a nice platinum plug with a single electrode. I use bosch platinums on all my vehicles and they last forever!

Uh.. guys.. he drives an se-i... Aren't those 120-something stock? I'm guessing about 132 then.

I'm sure they are refering to HP at the wheels as opposed to at the crank. At the wheels stock the Lx-i makes about 100 depending on the shape of the engine...

I'm pretty sure the SEi didn't come with 120, more like a 100, but i could be wrong.

120 crank about 100 to the wheels stock.I would say he's making
around 115-118 to the wheels.

my dx comes with 98 so im sure its more then that

Accord7SE_i

my accord is the se-i 2.2 125 horse at crank

ya I got an se-i too.. and i know i'm pullin more then 120..
they come with 122 stock..or somewhere in that neighbourhood

but with cam and headers and such listed.. i would say around 140 give or take..
the cam alone will give ya a good 10-15hp boost...
so ya..140 is a good call

There is no 2.2 and you got 120 horse at the crank and 122 foot pounds of tourqe. And the dx has 98 to the crank. At tops he has 125 to the wheels. The accords never came with a 2.2 they all came with a 2.0 liter. Some EFI and some carb.He may have a 140 to the crank.

Everybody......140 hp at the crank maybe, but you're all horse poopy if you think that's at the wheels. :)

But really who cares, not like our cars were made to be fast, damn them japs. :)

Whahoooo.....I have a 120+maybe 25 from mods at the crank...wait a minute, my car is still slow as hell compared to my brother's Mitsubishi gsx. He always makes fun of me and everyone on these boards, but I still love my 3geez.

Well...the non turbo eclipses have the same power as us, so race those as much as you want to.

Elijah

I have not been to the track this year. But I gtec at 14.9 and 15.1.
I don't remember the specs. If you do a search you can see pics of my car.And someone started a under the hood thread and there are more pics there.I will go and find the thread I started. And bump it.

I'll believe it when I see it, take it to the track.....just kidding. I want to see what the Nos will run in your car. Go to the tracks, I'm curious, because wickedaccord ran a 13.9. As for my slow automatic (18.4) :(

I have just been really busy lately. And it seems whenever there is an event at the track I'am tied up.

Neither one of you needs to feel bad. Some guy ran like 20.6 in the Race Stories section (though he also lives in Denver).

I would guess about 125-130 at the wheels if you dump the performance plugs and finish the exhaust. Have you done these mods already? If so how much did you pay for the P&P?

modu03
07-21-2003, 12:45 AM
all you people trying to race your crappy little automatics need to either give up or get a stick... I run 15.5 in my little lxi hatch, and all I've done is the cool air intake and pacesetter exhaust...

automatics are lame

Hatches are nice... they are actually the lightest model... compared to the coupe and sedan.

A20A1 did you see his time 15.5 cai.

I like how his signature mods list says not telling.....you probally get about 125 horses.....as for me i ran quater mile on gtec in 17.5 at 78mph.....and that was with my 15" rims and tires. BEOTCH!

maxoutracer

remember that you will lose 15%-20% from the tranny, axle then to the wheels.

modu03
07-29-2003, 06:49 PM
you know... after looking at other peoples times, I am kinda amazed myself that I can run a 15.5... I don't know why my car runs so fast with so little mods...

my sister is mad at... well... her car I guess... she's got an 86 firebird and is pissed that my little 4 banger bought from a junk yard (previous stolen) outruns her car:mad:... although she is a nice challenge for my car :D

i think i'm going to raise the BS flag on that modu03. unless you got pics you don't got shit w/ posting that incredable time.

also, referance the thread "horsepower" on this topic. heres a copy of my post on it.

""86 87 dx lx = 98hp
86 87 lxi = 112hp?

88 89 dx lx = 98hp
88 89 lxi sei = 120hp

88 89 accord did came with 120hp stock, that was alot of HP back in the days, lol... remember you will lose 15%-20% hp from the engine, tranny, axle then to the wheel."

thats perfectly stated but you forgot the euro B20"insert # here" w/ like 140 but those are pritty rare. this has been argued many times and thats what has come out of it. oh, and don't think that that is what you have now, our cars are at least 14 years old now and given that your prob lucky to have 103- maybe 110 at the wheels. go look at actually dyno charts and they will prove all of this. hell, i forget who it is, but someone on here has done a whole shit load of stuff to thier engine and now only have 140 something at the wheels (i forget who you are but i saw your thread w/ the dyno chart actually posted).""
