Ok, Here is a question for anyone out there who may have some knowledge of replacing old wornout bushings on the suspensions of the 86 - 89 Accords and or Prelude.
I own both types of cars and I am looking to find out if any has replaced their own upper control arm bushings with aftermarket ones. I need to replace the ones on my 88 prelude and possibly the 86 Accord LXi. I called Prothane and they said they dont make anything for our older cars, but to check and see if anyone has tried using a newer car part for it and if they made it work.
And by the way if anyone else is having this problem, just to let you know, Honda does not sell the bushings by themselves, they sell the whole control arm assembly for about $195.59 each side!
So, just in case you guys wanted to know?
I would appreciate any ideas on this. The suspensions on both cars seem to be very similar.

Let me know.

Thanks!

1funryd.

I believe some pop up on ebay every so often! THey are aftermarket... and come with the arm for around 20 bucks.

You're in Kent eh? I'm in Marysville... hmm.
