My dad for some reason thinks that my 88 Honda Accord Lx-i is a 4x4 truck and takes this things out onto some job site and gets mud everywhere. So now the car has a cliking sound coming from the engine and sometimes at stop lights the oil light comes on for a little bit then turns off. It also feels light it has lost some power to it. Could it be the clutch because it was feeling soft before he took it off-roading.

You should get your compression checked. I have a bad piston ring and it makes a clicking sound, power loss of course and oil issues as well.

I hope that it is not the dreaded ROD KNOCK.

Its still soft now and now turns off when i put the clutch is in. Now the cliking is all the time and not just during the 3-4k rpm.

Go cry to your dad and tell him it was all his fault that your car's acting weird now after he thought it was a rally edition Subaru Impreza or better yet, a rally edition Lancer Evolution, and he went off-roading with it. :D

Damn, man, I think you're car is hella messed up and it needs serious attention now. I'm not being sarcastic here either. I'm being serious. Can't tell you what's wrong, but based on your descriptions, I think it's messed up. Good luck with it.

Low Oil Pressure is what I'm thinkin. Oil Pump causing rod knock maybe???????? Might try checkin and probably changing your oil if your getting a light, hopefully its just low or thinned way out If not then I duno.....Hella screwed is what I'm thinking,
