idled before but not after swap?

well i took the engine out of a very wreck 89 accord dx and put it in my 88 lx. the engine ran fine before i took it out. now it idles no lower than 2000rpm and when you shut it off it just wants to keep on rolling. it can sit there after the car is turned off and try top keep running for a couple of minutes. any ideas?

did you keep the same carb or it culd be the black box.

i just took everything ou in one piece. black box transmission clutch carb. everything all at once so i wouldn't get any vacum lines mixed up.

Recheck your vacuum lines. It might be that you missed one or knocked one off or maybe even cracked one. Unless you do the Vacuumline removal posted by A20A1, those little rubber hoses play a large part in how your engine runs.

yeah man it's got some idling problems, basically the throttle isn't closing

well i don't have time to troyuble shoot it this weekend but it's like brown inside the carb so i'm going to douse it in carb cleaner before i do anything else
