I see the bazooka el 1500 amps for sale on ebay and think I might get one. I have a 10" sub with box but no amp, and think this amp would work. Sub is made by audio concepts... no idea what model. Think this amp is a good idea?

hell yah.. they are sweet ass amps.. but if you want full power, get another sub to bridge it to 2 ohm... 500 watts RMS! unless your 10 is a Dual voice coil.. and if its not, sell the 10 for a 10 inch Audiobahn 10 with DVC

Doubt the sub is anything special... my friend had two and they thumped damn nice... so I'm hoping the one he gave me will thump alright. I need a wiring harness... any ideas? Cheaper the better. Alright, so sub, amp, wiring harness. Anything else?

wiring harness? you mean an amp kit?

just search for 4 gauge amp kit on ebay.. you will find one... thats all you need... unless you dont have an aftermarket head unit

Don't go to eBay for your wiring needs... just swing by your nearest walmart. Go to the automotives section and they have really cheap wiring kits that are quite fantastic. Get the $20 8-guage kit, you don't need the 4-guage unless you are running 700+ watts.

Those bazookas work really well, and are cheap, but don't expect the world from them.

I've heard a lot about them overheating. I think when I get one I'll need to figure out a way to cool it. It's not going to be anytime soon though, at least, not until I sell my rims.
