what is the stock size of the xaust pipe on a 89 lx? thanks
ganna cut the cat out and i need to know what size to pick up, cant check for myself right now.

No one is trying to be a hippy here. The point of it is taking the cat off releases a hell of alot more emissions into the air...and for what a couple of hp if that. While yes we are not driving more sound cars we can at least be more aware of the situation without being some green protester. And yes all cars release some sort of harmful emissions but you can at least reduce it with no real impact to your little a20 engine....if you were actually racing it or something along those lines I might change my statement but your probably not and your engine has problem seen better days.

1and 3/4 in there is two pipes the outer and the inner the outer is 1.73 you will need the inner
