hey guys i'd just like 2 get your opinion on this. one of my friends races at a monroe speedway and some of his buddies races cars like ours. He said that they were getting some sort of intake manifold and holley 350 carb conversion. So he is going to check into it a little more. But do you guys think this would be better than just getting a weber conversion. i'm pretty sure it would cost under 250 atleast that is what he thaught.

hmm... that might work.

I'd say get a weber 38 and the parts to adapt it to the stock manifold, but before you stick the carb on, port out the center divider to get more plenum volume.

But if your freinds manifold flows better then maybe the holley ain't so bad, I just don't see the custom manifold being cheap unless you're just moding the stock manifold to fit the 350.

The lowest CFM rating I have found for the 38 weber was 350.

350 does not seem that bad. But those darn Edlebrock manifolds for those V8s flow upto 800 and upwards.

By the way mike, does CFM mean Cubic flow per minute or something?

Cubic Feet / Minute i thought. It is a unit of air flow though.
