If anybody cares, I found this discusion at miata.net on ultra high performance tires. I thought it was interesting, maybe you will to.;)

It's the first time I've heard someone besides me talking about how kumho 712's are less sticky when you go to the lower speed ratings, ZR/WR being the stickiest.

since we're on the topic of high performance rubber, we just got the KUMHO ECSTA V700s for the 4th gen. They are 225/45/wr15s on prelude VTEC rims. We tried them a couple of days ago and they grip like a MUTHUF***ER. I can just imagine when we get the car on the autocross course that my face will be plastered to the passenger side window when i go for a ride along with darryl.
the kumhos are on the left next to the nitto 205/55/14 NT555Rs.

Those are practically drag slicks...jeez, hardly any pattern at all on them. I bet they're great in the rain :rolleyes: ;)
