I'm experiencing a knocking sound in my rear end when i accelerate into and through a right or left hand turn. I have no idea what could be causing this noise, and besides this the car runs absolutely great.
As a side note, after i had the exhaust rear of the catalytic converter replaced (including the muffler) i was experiencing a rattling. Turns out the jackasses who installed the system didn't secure the muffler properly and it was rubbing against the side of the compartment that holds the spare tire.
A few weeks after that this knocking in the rear end started. If anyone has any idea what this could be caused by please let me know.

Check your CV boots. Does the knocking make any noticable shake or vibration in the steering wheel? Can you feel the car moving weird because of it, or is it purely a sound?

Have you ever replaced your rear ball joints? If it is a popping sound then it could easily be your ball joints. Just my 2 cents.
