This engine was rebuilt not long ago and currently has only 11,000 miles on it. It had to be rebuilt cuz the car was towed all over the country behind an RV, and one time the torque converter locked up and spun the engine while it was being towed, and that tore it up pretty good. Runs and drives perfect! Cold a/c and all. Mechanically it needs next to nothing.... I had to replace the idle air control valve with a spare I had laying around (we knew that before buying it), but that's about it. Now it just needs a real good cleaning and a few cosmetic fixes, and it'll be good as new.

:D

Yea it was a 16 year old kid that owned it before, and his sister before that, and their grandfather before that (it's stayed in the same family). The kid was one of those audio gurus, and had a pretty good system setup in there. He took it out though to put in his new car.

Damn, looks like A nice car for your dad. Thats how my 3g got into our family! :)

And you have the same problem as me though. Your mouldings, especially in front of the doors is faded pretty bad.
Anyone know how to fix that without painting them?

That's a helluva nice car man!! Just a few minor cosmetic things, and she's back to beautiful!!! It's kinda funny to see a completely stock engine...but I'm sure you'll take care of that ;)

well i had the fix until you said 'without painting'.... i used duplicolor bumper coating on mine. taped around them with masking tape, then sprayed the paint into a bowl and applied it with a small brush. put the first coat on by brushing, let that dry, then put another coat by 'dabbing' it.. hard to explain.. but it gives it a nice textured look.

btw... aren't SE-i's supposed to have body-colored mouldings?

The SE-i has black side mouldings, like the rest of the 3G's. However, unlike the other 3G's, there is a body-colored section on each bumper above the black mouldings. You can see this clearly in Jared's pictures.

yo Jared, that is one color that always captured my attention on a 3g next to the brittany blue. Needs a clear coat paint job huh? I think Earl Scheib would do it for like 100 bucks on full car. But dude, i thought u pulled out the Leather seats when you pulled out the Rear Disks from an Se-i not too long ago. Anywho, Thats sone awsome shit bro. im liking the car, but hating you :D. haha just kiddin.

LX-i have it too don't they? At least from what i see on mine..i do. =)

Nice car Jared. I see you have those Window Rain Reflectors too! Those things help I tell ya. Especially on Rainy days when the windows fogg up. Are those OEM ones from honda or aftermarket ones?

Tell me if you're interested..

Mirrors were body color coded on the se-i's. Bumpers are like the lx-i's. Jared, get those seats recovered in vinyl. It can be done and looks good, too!! Newer cars only have leather on the seating area due to leather not wearing well over time (vinyl is used everywhere else). It's cheaper too. Take the seats to an upholstery shop that does Katzskin conversions for new car dealers!!

when i have the money that's what i'm doing with mine... i got my windows tinted at a place that does Katzkin interiors and they were doin a 4G Accord... looked schweet! it was red and he was gettin black leather with red inserts. i'm gonna get mine to look stock tho... it costs $679.00 for the seats and door panel inserts and $499.99 to have an authorized Katzkin installer put them in. click here (http://www.katzkin.com/SITE/HTML/installers.html) to find an installer in your area.
