alright, now i know that when the carbed versions of our cars are cold, they need to warm up, thus the 2k idle kicks in till its warm. But my car will do it even when its warm. Heres the deal. Ill be driving for say a half hour, then shut off the car for maybe 10 mins. I get back in the car and start it and it starts to idle high again. This is in summer temps, but what boggles me most is that the rpms will kick down if i pull up on the gas pedal with my foot. This happens everytime i kick the clutch in. This "condition" will stop only if i pull off a couple near redline shifts or if i drive at highway speeds for a few mins. Any ideas as to what this could be? Any info would be appreciated.:sadwave:

Sticky throttle cable, or linkage.

could also be a vacuum leak to the idle diaphragm.
