Question about engine codes

What cars did the C and J series engines come in? I've never heard of these series ... i just read the last "IMPORTANT" post up there and i found myself asking "what the hell fdid those come in???"

its an engine that came in a 3rd gen prelude. im tryin to get some pics of it but my computer is a pos so that might not happen for a while. I believe this engine came on the 91's only but im not sure. i know it was rare.

And correction ... this engine only came in the 1990 4WS, ALB, and SI ... thogh never officially called a 2.1SI people that do know about tis engine call it that ...

like i said it was pretty rare ...

how did you get the B21 in your car? Did you buy it like this or did you do the swap yourself? This motor is hard to put in the accord.......

i bought the car with the motor mounts in place and the car already rewired ... :( good cuz all i had to do was pop the motor in but i cant take credit for doing the comlete swap myself ... i just got it last week so i havnt dynoed it yet so i have no idea about potential at all ... the guy had the prelude with a crappy body on it and a 3g accord that the motor blew on. and he was moving away so i got a good deal ... both cars for 2000. the accord already had the motor mounts and everything needed cuz he was gonna do the swap himself.

if anyone could give me info on the B21 i really would appreciate it. it seems pretty quick...

If it's real, just take pictures and show me please... the B21A is hard to install in a 3g Accord.

right now your just gonna have to take my word for it because i own no device to capture images nor do i have the computer that will let me put digital camera images on it ... considering this comp is from 1996 ... and it wasnt difficult putting it in at all acctually. It's still a b series engine.

The b21a1 was in the 90-91 prelude Si. Its just a bored out b20a5, with a whoping 5hp gain for a total of 140. It tilts the wrong way just like the b20a5 and I would be interested to see how it managed to fit in there with out hitting the firewall.

The B21A actually has a complete different block from the B20A5. It uses crappy sleeves that become oval near 120k miles... an engine that will smoke real quickly... the B20A5 was alot more reliable.

Well, it has the same stroke and cam specs, thats about as willing as I was to look into it. I just assumed honda just milled out the b20a5 casting a tad.

i talked to the guy who sold me this stuff this morning ... he told me that the motor was hitting the firewall when he dropped it in to see if it would fit and so he custom fabbed a way so it wouldnt hit. (don't ask me what he did cuz i dont know and im new to third gen accords so i have no idea what the firewall is supposed to look like ... lol.) But yeah im new to motors and motor swaps and hondas and everything ... i used to be all about nissans til i wrecked my zx ... a TT ZX too ... oh well ... i still have the turbos so i might try to get one of them in this car.

Oh and the guy did tell me the piston sleeves were weak ... what exactly does that mean and can it be fixed???

i just got a 91 prelude SR with a B21A1 2056cc engine. Its made in japan and initially sold in canada. it haulls ass. i've smoked a 92 integra GSR and i've only been driving it for a couple of weeks. It has 225000+ kilometers on the car, and i'm almost certain that its the original engine. Someone said unreliable?
