ok guys, yesterday i drove my first 3rd gen accord, an 89 lxi. i loved it and it will be the first car i own. i only had one prob, there seemed to be a lot of resistance with regard to the gas pedal. is this normal? if not, how do i fix it. if so, can i do anything about it? also, i had a sticking throttle body on my 98 ford windstar (POS) that caused the pedal to stick until you pushed it hard enough, but the sensation with this isnt quite the same, there is resistance all the way down.

:barf:

thnx

try lubricating the cable.

I had the same experience when I first drove my 86 hatch, I was used to driving my 89 Cutlass and the pedal on that would just float down. On the accords however it seems there is a lot more resistance.

either lubricate the cable, then advance the timing a little the more u advance it the softer the pedal would feel!

yeah that's definitely normal, 3g's just have a harder pedal even more than other Honda's I've driven
