hatchback lxi bumpers and coupe lxi bumpers? ? cause right now .. i got a dx/lx bumper on my lxi hatch .. and i was thinkin .. since i put on the dx.lx bumper cause some fucker backed into me .. i might as well slap on a coupe lxi bumper if it looks diff... so yea .. are the looks diff between the two ?

no difference other than the painted lower half. I suggest you get a Sedan LX/LXI style bumper and the brackets and slap that on. :D

I will do that again when i get my accord.

you need a basic tool set and use a phillips screw driver to take off the bumper lights.

Also, you need and extension to reach the 4 bolts on the support, once you take off the bumper lights, you will see the bolts. also dont forget to get the screws along the bumper near the fender well. there are two of those to take off.

when you get the Sedan/coupe lxi bumper skin, you need to make sure you get the the mounting brackets also.

Any front bumper from 88-89 coupes or sedans should be fine. If you're serious about bumpers, when we went to Pick N Pull (day of the meet) out in Rancho Cordova, there were some decent 88-89 bumpers and there was also a nice 89 Teg bumper. Good luck, man.

I really don't know, but someone here have successfully done the teg bumper.

It's about one inch to long on the sides so you need to cut and fiber glass or you can bolt up the rebar and slide the skin on until it lines up with the wheel well then you need to cut a piece to fill the gap between the body of the car and the bumper where your headlights sit. some day when I can borrow a digi cam again I will take pics cause the car is coming back together nice.
